Remember that time you came home from work, exhausted, only to see your kids coming towards you, wanting you to play a game of basketball? You, of course, said no, but promised that after you relaxed for a bit, you would.
Instead of disappointing your children, why not say, “yes” after all? You will be surprised by the amount of energy you will have after that 30-minute activity.
Did you know that by exercising at a moderate pace for only 30 minutes, you would feel a lot better, mentally? It has been proven that this improves the appetite and sharpens your style in problem solving. Not only that, you will also feel that it is easier to sleep at night if you do moderate exercises even for only 30 minutes every day.
What are the benefits of regular exercise? It promotes self-discipline and has a positive impact how you perceive life. Exercise helps in lifting your spirits and getting you out of any depression. For first timers, it can be done for 15 minutes for 2 to 3 days a week. You can increase the time you spend once your body gets tuned up for it.
Never try push your body if it isn’t ready! If you feel pain, quit! It is ok to break for a couple of days and then re-start, but you may need to start all over again.
Here are some moderate exercises you can do and enjoy:
1. Walk! Use your local environment. Take your dog along or bring your spouse or family. Try to get your family to walk every day and you’ll find you’re getting rid of calories, loving the outdoors, and taking in plenty of sunshine which is also great for you.
2. Try Yoga. Yoga is an excellent workout that is great for mind, body, and spirit. Try learning the basic yoga poses which aren’t overly complicated but are still a great workout. Even just spending a few minutes on yoga exercises can help revitalize you and raise your levels of energy. Yoga can be a stress reliever and good way to stretch all at once!
3. Play sports. Try tennis, basketball, whatever sport you like. It goes without saying that participating in sports is a great way to stay in great shape. You don’t have to play competitively or even play at a hard level. Just throwing a baseball with a buddy is stil viewed as a sport.
4. Sign-up for a work fitness group. There aren’t any fitness groups at work? Well, start one then! Ask your supervisor and begin with your coworkers. It is not only a chance to burn calories, but you can also have fun together. Try it for 30 minutes a few times a week.
5. Workout with chores! Raking, gardening, and doing laundry are all ways you can get some exercise. Take advantage of these chores to perspire a little! Try not to use gadgets to help you out, how about using your own hands and shedding some calories!
Making exercises as part of your daily routines will surprise you how many calories you will lose. Doing these moderate exercises of the same amount every day can burn 150 calories up to 1,000 calories a day!
